Child Care Worker

 

Specific Duties:  To offer care for children at the shelter while their parent(s) is in meetings, at school, or at work through:

 

Qualifications/Skills:  The child care worker needs to be dependable and reliable.  They need to have patients.  Experience working with children is helpful but not required.  Other skills such as making crafts are also helpful.  The most important qualification is a desire to help children.

 

Hours/Dates:  Child care positions are currently available.  The times and days are flexible.  We ask that you are available 2-4 hours per week for a six month period.  Many of the families, especially the children, have lived with tremendous amounts of instability.  By coming consistently for a reasonable amount of time, a child care worker can contribute to giving the children a new sense of stability and security.  Days and time are flexible.
