Office Assistant
Specific Duties: To be a general help to the functioning of the shelter’s office through:
Qualifications/Skills: The office assistants must be dependable and reliable. They need to be able to answer the phones, greet visitors and address residents in a welcoming manner. They must keep all information about residents as confidential. This position requires flexibility. Office skills are preferred but not required.
Hours/Dates: Office assistant positions are currently available at the shelters and administration office. We ask that office assistants come two-four hours per week for a period of six months. Many of the families, especially the children, have live with tremendous amounts of instability. By coming consistently for a reasonable amount of time the volunteer can contribute to giving them a new sense of stability and security.
