Peer Support Leader

 

Specific Duties:  Provide recovery support to families in the sober living shelter by:

 Qualifications/Skills:   Peer supporters need to be in recovery and clean at least six months.  Peers need to be dependable and reliable and have a clear understanding of recovery, sobriety, and boundaries. 

 

Hours/Dates:  Peer support positions are currently available.  The specific day and times are flexible.  We do ask that peer supporters participate for a six month period and may be rotated within the client population as needed so that burnout does not occur.

 

Goals:

The Peer Support position needs to be filled by kind and encouraging people who have worked through their own issues of recovery and are confident in the process.  Thank you for taking up the challenge and offering a hand to another recovery person who is homeless.
