Special Interest Facilitator

Specific Duties: To come in and share any special areas of interest or skill with either the families or the children. Some examples of this would be:

Doing a magic show
Showing kids how to paint, mold clay, make kites, etc…
Storytelling
A seminar on Resume Writing
Teaching a craft to the adults.

Qualifications/Skills: A specific skill or talent that would interest the parent or the children.

Hours/Dates: Special interest opportunities are currently available. These positions are very flexible: a volunteer may come in to do a one time event or may setup a more consistent schedule. Scheduling will be decided by the volunteer and the Director of Family & Volunteer Services.

Goals:

To enrich the lives of the families.
To teach the families about new things.
To brighten up the lives of the families through special entertainment events.

Special interest groups need to be people who are willing to give of their time and their talents to help homeless families.
