Mission Statement:
Citizens for Adequate Housing, Inc. believes that each person has a right to decent affordable housing. Toward this end we: assist homeless families in regaining their physical and emotional health; support them in the process of restoring their dignity as persons; teach life skills with a focus on economic stability; facilitate transition from shelter to affordable housing through rental or personal ownership; purchase and develop property in support of low income families using the Community Land Trust model; contribute, through education and advocacy, to the creation of communities characterized by mutual respect for all its citizens; and serve as a vehicle for individuals and the business community at large to become partners in the solution to homelessness.
For families facing homelessness, CAH truly makes a difference in their lives and providing shelter is just the beginning.
